Why Eurasia MUN?

Two Continents

High income economies and least developed countries. Open democracies, authoritarian regimes and failed states. Four of the P-5. Centre of Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism and Judaism. Zones of peace and realms of war. 36.2% of the world’s land area, inhabited by over 71% of the world’s population. Eurasia: An intertwined, complex history. A challenging, joint future.

One Conference

The two continents, Europe and Asia, may differ in terms of culture, concepts and traditions, but their people share the same aspirations. EurasiaMUN aims to bring together students of not only Asia and Europe, but from other backgrounds as well, in order to create understanding for the complex and various links on the Eurasian landmass and to enable valuable cultural exchange. It creates an exciting platform where everyone brings their individual stories and perspectives and leaves with a broadened horizon, exciting memories and profound ideas about the challenges mutually faced.

EurasiaMUN will focus on issues relevant to today’s context, ranging from economics, security and human rights to environment, development and energy issues. This is only to mention a few themes; you can find the list of specific topics under the Committees tab. The debates at Eurasia MUN will be complemented by a range of workshops and expert hearings, which will give you the opportunity to meet professionals from various backgrounds, and enhance your understanding of the ongoing discourse.

Interestingly, Eurasia MUN is an actualization of its own idea: An idea conceived in Pakistan, executed by a team in Germany. We wish to pass on our experience not just in the committee debates but throughout the week of our interaction with you.

Looking forward to continue the conversation in Passau!
