Munich airport is back open!
That was a close one but the ash seems to have cleared over the German airspace. The airport is now open again. Have a safe flight!

For Eurasia Model United Nations 2010
Experiencing the United Nations, representing one’s nation as an official delegate and forming compromises in intensive discussions: This experience can be shared by students from all over the world this year.
The program “Model United Nations” simulates sessions and the course of debate of the United Nations and is becoming increasingly popular in nearly all countries across the globe. Participants learn how the Security Council, General Assembly and other bodies of the United Nations work. Observing, how resolutions are formed and delegates from large and small, rich and poor states try to represent their individual interests, while still upholding the core values and goals of the United Nations, is a rewarding experience.
Thereby we have to keep our eye on one specific aspect: In the end, people from all over the world share the same core beliefs: To live in peace and liberty. German foreign policy is a policy of peace. Policy of peace can only be built upon mutual trust and the common will of conflict resolution. When it comes to securing peace, freedom and development, it is up to all of us, to take responsibility. To agitate for the core principles of the United Nations, helps unify the world and to progress towards the overall goal.
The United Nations are the only forum, in which over 192 states come together, to find solutions to problems of global magnitude. It is in the great interest of the Federal Republic of Germany, to ensure the United Nation’s ability to act. Because only a functioning United Nations gains the trust of the world community, to be the pillar of a global partnership of responsibility.
The United Nations can only be as influential as its member nations are willing to allow it. Therefore, the German Foreign Ministry strongly supports the involvement of young people at the United Nations, because the knowledge of the United Nations is our potential for the future.
