Visa & Insurance Info
Do I need a visa for Germany?
Generally speaking, all non-EU nationals require a visa for stays in Germany. But there are some exceptions to this standard rule. Whether you need a visa for visits to Germany and the Schengen States you can find out here
How do I get a visa for Germany?
In order to start your visa application, please make an appointment with the German mission (embassy or consulate) responsible for your place of residence as soon as possibly. The waiting list can be quite long sometimes!
To find your respective German mission search for “German Embassy and [capital of your country]” in any search engine. You will surely find details on the specific application requirements on the website of the German Embassy.
You must submit visa applications, together with all necessary documents, in person at the German mission. You have to prove that you have adequate funds for your intended stay in Germany and for the return to your home country. Furthermore, you are required to have travel health insurance valid for the entire Schengen area. Likewise you must hand in a “Letter of Invitation” from EurasiaMUN.
When your application to EurasiaMUN is confirmed (i.e. after you were accepted and we received the conference fee from you), we will send you a “Letter of Invitation” via e-mail and via normal post; thereby verifying your stay in Germany. To issue such a letter, we need a digital copy of the ID page of your passport. Please send it to info@eurasiamun.org
Please bear in mind that this is the only type of assistance we provide and all other visa arrangements have to be done by yourself.
Where do I find further information?
Detailed information on visa regulations and the application process can be found at the website of the Federal Foreign Office and on the website of German missions in your home country.
